The purpose of this meeting is to clarify what the Colorado “safer at home” means to all real estate professionals.  We have Tyrone Adams, the CEO of CARScott Peterson, CAR’s legal council, and Elizabeth Peetz, the VP of Government Affairs for CAR.  We are bringing them in as they know more about what the Colorado government is requiring us to do.

Tyrone Adams is the president/CEO of the Colorado Association of REALTORS.  He originally joined the CAR staff in 1993 and has served in a variety of roles over the past two decades that led him to ultimately becoming the Association’s president/CEO in 2015. A Denver native, Tyrone is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an Emphasis in Advertising and a minor in Business.Tyrone has earned the professional certifications Realtor Certified Executive, Certified Association Executive and Diversity Executive Leadership Program graduate. 

Liz Peetz is the Vice President of Government Affairs at the Colorado Association of REALTORS®. Ms. Peetz directs the public policy efforts of the Colorado Association of Realtors and manages many functions of the government affairs division, but she specializes in policy development, advocacy, and legislative affairs. She also oversees CAR’s Legislative Policy CommLiz Peetzittee and candidate endorsement process through the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee. Ms. Peetz is a licensed attorney in CO, NE, and Washington D.C.

Scott Peterson is an experienced real estate and business professional with an extensive background representing individuals and corporations on a broad range of real estate matters. He has been the General Counsel for the Colorado Association of REALTORS® since 2015.As General Counsel, Scott is responsible for advising the CAR Board of Directors, CAR Leadership Council and the CAR CEO on legal matters related to the Association’s businesses.

We encourage legislation questions also since legislation does open back up next month and Elizabeth is the VP of government affairs and she is a true advocate of our industry 

Everyone will be muted and can ask additional questions through the chat section which I will screen and read to ensure no repeat questions since we will be on a time restraint.
